Vintage 1970's 1971 very rare and hard to find near complete in the original box Marx tin metal lithograph garage and gas station play set playset with all of the plastic accessories - Midtown Service Station By Marx, New, Fast Rolling Cars, Featuring Operating Elevator, Pumps With Canopy, Attendants, Cars And Other Station Accessories, 3500, Marx Toys, Made In U. The near complete set includes the large 28 1/4" by 16 1/4" by 4" heavy original box, large 2-sided instruction sheet, unused "Day & Night Service 24 Hours, Hi-Test etc. Decal sheet (with some wear to the bottom right decal), large metal lithographed red base, all 5 blue plastic attendant figures, all 5 colorful plastic cars with metal wheels/axles all marked Louis Marx & Co. (yellow station wagon, green convertible, red 4-door Cadillac, blue fast back fastback and yellow sports car), all tin lithograph building sections as noted in the directions with some with two-sided with litho scenes, tin metal elevator, metal red ramp, metal "Exit, Down" red'guardrail', metal lift rod, metal 2-sided garage door, metal elevator winch holder, both colorful tin litho metal signs (Marx Hi-Test Tires, Day & Night Service" and "Midtown Service, 24 Hour, Lubrication, Repairs, Sales, Parts, Wash, Park). Plastic accessories include a one-piece gasoline station sign, battery rack, battery charger, tire display stand, 2-piece floor jack, bucket pail, island oil rack, tree with oil can pourer, both canopy supports and garage door handle still on the tree, gas pump canopy, 2 extra garage door handles, 2 metal nuts, gray plastic elevator crank handle, air pump, all three gas gasoline pump pumps, grease pump and the complete 4-part grease rack lift.

Missing parts include the two plastic halves for the elevator spool, elevator string and one guide rod (one is still there). There are two extra handles for the garage door as noted.
