Vintage Franklin Motor Cars Service Station 26 Porcelain Metal Gas & Oil Sign

FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION IS A VINTAGE "FRANKLIN MOTOR CARS SERVICE STATION " 26" BY 14" HEAVY (6 POUNDS, 14 OUNCES) PORCELAIN METAL GASOLINE & OIL ADVERTISING SIGN. THIS SIGN HAS FANTASTIC GRAPHICS FROM A VERY OLD ADVERTISING CAMPAIGN FOR FRANKLIN MOTOR CARS SERVICE STATION.

THIS IS A VERY RARE ADVERTISING CAMPAIGN AND IS VERY HARD SIGN TO FIND. THIS SIGN DOES SHOW SOME LIGHT WEAR NEAR INCLUDING A CHIP IN THE UPPER LEFT CORNER BUT IS NEAR MINT BESIDES THAT WITH GORGEOUS GLOSS. I WAS TOLD THAT THIS SIGN USED TO BE IN A FRAME SO THATS WHY IT HAS NO MOUNTING HOLES. THIS SIGN MEASURE QUITE LARGE AT 26" BY 14" AND IS VERY HEAVY WEIGHTING OVER 6 POUNDS, 14 OUNCES AND IS MADE OF THICK PORCELAIN METAL NOT CHEAP TIN OR THIN METAL. Please do your own research as vintage does not necessarily mean original. Note: I was left with a large advertising collection along with some that I have collected over the years & I also attend high end estate sales in the area.
