As for me, I collect, design, and build Lego to cope with physical pain and the depression associated with genetic chronic illnesses. At times even reading or watching television is not something I can comfortably focus on. After the pain eases-up I take notes on what I designed/imagined and draw my thoughts as best I can. We currently have an entire small town under construction in our living room. Lego products are pure and fun enough to be toys yet precise and detailed enough to be utilized as modern re-buildable models. Also, building small Lego sets helps me to recover my hand-eye coordination after an extended period on potent medications that tend to drain the body or cause arthritis, etc. As well as recovering from chronic seizures.

My wife and step-sons are supportive and always giving me new ideas to work from. I have no intention on being a drain on my family, so I will be constantly adding great Lego products to our store!
